If you’ve read or are planning to read Dan Brown’s Inferno, here’s great news. There’s now an Inferno Florence Guide app that gives you not only a visual of the places of interest mentioned in the book, but also fascinating historical insights into them.
The app is the perfect complement to the book which quotes from the book, provides context, and shares fascinating and accurate facts. And for the lucky ones who are planning to visit Florence, the app also provides you with travel tips and links to the places of interest.
Can’t make it to Florence? With beautiful photos of each place listed, the Inferno Florence Guide app allows you to virtually roam through the city without having to leave your chair. Pretty cool!
Review of the Inferno Florence Guide app
Written by the editors of The Florentine (yes, the same Florentine mentioned in the book) who are experts and long-time residents of the city, you can rest assure that the information is reliable. Covering 31 places of interest and with almost an hour’s worth of audio, you can opt to navigate the app either by Menu or Map.
It’s very easy to use and one of the features that makes this app stand out is that it’s also an audio guide. For those who are planning to use this app while in Florence, having the opportunity to appreciate the place while listening to the guide makes for a different experience.
It definitely beats having to read and glance up every now and then to see what they are describing. Another point that’s noteworthy is that the additional historical information for each place shares interesting facts, yet isn’t loaded and lengthy to the point you’re overwhelmed.
Personally, I think that reading Dan Brown’s Inferno with this app would certainly make for an even more thrilling experience! And for only $2.99 (or €2.69), it’s practically a steal (and a great stocking stuffer gift!). Here’s more information on the Inferno Florence Guide app.

Disclosure: I was given a promo code to download the Inferno Florence Guide app but was NOT paid for this review. I was more than happy to do so as BrowsingItaly is all for sharing reliable and handy resources for travelers to Italy.
Thanks ladies for this excellent and complete review. I am so glad you liked it.
You know what’s even a better “steal”? Right now we are giving away 3 months of The Florentine (digital subscription) with every app purchased if people send us a photo of themselves with the app, and the subscription is worth 6 euro!! 🙂
